History

Brief history

The church was formed in the late 1970s during the charismatic renewal and benefitted from input from leading figures in the restoration movement and from close links with Southampton Community church. 

The church initially had a nomadic existence and moved around various halls in the town before moving into its current accommodation in the late 1990s.

During its early years it was at the forefront of the charismatic renewal in the area and had strong links with similar churches which it retains in part to this day.

The church has been instrumental in planting and establishing several other churches in the area.
