History
Brief history
The church was formed in the late 1970s during the charismatic renewal and benefitted from input from leading figures in the restoration movement and from close links with Southampton Community church.
The church initially had a nomadic existence and moved around various halls in the town before moving into its current accommodation in the late 1990s.
During its early years it was at the forefront of the charismatic renewal in the area and had strong links with similar churches which it retains in part to this day.
The church has been instrumental in planting and establishing several other churches in the area.
For the last 18 years the church has been led by Richard Atkinson and since 2009 has come under the Apostolic oversight of Franz Lippi whose own gifting and calling was developed under the mentoring of Alan Vincent.
The church benefits from this Apostolic oversight and from other connections to other churches/gifted ministries in the area.
